These Challah were hand dyed with Indigo in Durham, NC using a process called katazome. This paste resist method of hand dying allows us to create the striking variation of indigo and crisp white. Each challah cover is made of 100% antique linen and dyed with natural indigo. They are each unique in size and thickness due to the use of antique linen napkins as the base material. They measure around 16 inches square. The text in the center of each cover reads “Shabbat Kodesh, Shabbos Kodesh” or The Shabbat is Holy.

Can be washed in a machine using cold water with similar colors, tumble dry and iron.
